PEP Stores Money Transfer



1. Go to a PEP store with the following:

  • Your green barcoded South African ID Book or
  • ID card
  • Your PEPclub card
  • Your cell phone number (the one used you register for PEPclub with)

2. Tell the cashier you want to do a Money Transfer

3. The cashier will request:

  • Your green barcoded South African ID Book or ID card
  • Your PEPclub card
  • Your cell phone number (the one you used to register for PEPclub with)
  • Your friend or relative’s cell phone number (the number of the person you wish to send money to)

4. The cashier will ask you how much money you want to send.Let’s say you want to send R500. You must provide the R500 and pay the R9.99 fee, which makes a total of R509.99.

5. The cashier will ask you to confirm the details you’ve provided



6. The cashier will give you a receipt for the transaction

7. You will now receive a 4-digit unique access code on your cell phone number by SMS to the number you have provided.

8. You must make sure you tell the person receiving the money the 4-digit access code as well as how much money you have sent.

(If they don’t give the recipient this info, they won’t be able to withdraw their cash from the ATM.
